Summer Reading Challenge

This year's Summer Reading Challenge, the Big Friendly Read, is celebrating the works of one of the world's most famous storytellers, Road Dahl, 100 years after his birth

The event, which launches on Saturday 16th July, features some of his best loved characters from the BFG to Charlie Bucket.

Herts County Council are challenging children of all ages to read six library books over the summer holidays and the come back to the library to tell us about them.

Children who finish by Saturday 10th September have a change of winning a ticket to an exclusive author event in October half term.

All children need to do is visit their local library between Saturday 16th July and Saturday 10th September for a free joining pack, whilst stocks last.
