High St. No. 21 Formerly W Hall (Butcher)

This is a two storey house and shop dating from the 17^th century. It was originally a timber framed building but was given a red brick front and rear extension in the late 18^th or early 19^th century. The roof is plain tile and the eaves are moulded and dentilled brick. The north gable end of the house is plastered and some 17^th century brickwork can still be seen. There is a very broad chimney stack behind the front range.
