Heritage Walk No.6 The Redbourn Mile

Start on the main avenue that runs across the common next to the cricket pavilion.
Start walking along the avenue away from the cricket pavilion with the cricket pitch on your left. To your right you will see the old school now residential properties.
As you continue your walk the Cricketers Pub will be seen to the right.
Cross Lybury Lane and continue walking along the avenue. The Common has a rich history and has been used for many purposes.
The avenue continues towards Cumberland House but you should take the path that forks left away from the tree lined avenue.
When you reach the road junction, turn left along North Common and take the path that runs along the edge of the common. To your right, on the opposite side of the road, there are many properties that may interest you.
Cross over Lybury Lane and continue walking along the edge of the common on the opposite side of the road with the cricket pitch to your left.
When you reach the road junction, turn left continuing you walk alongside the common. There are several old cottages of interest to your right in the area known as West Common.
You will meet the main avenue. Turn left and proceed towards the cricket pavilion but as you do so, look to your right at the Jolly Gardener(s).
When you reach the cricket pavilion, you have completed the “Redbourn Mile”.
