Horticultural Show - Saturday 10th September
Just a reminder - its not not too late to enter something you have grown or made into the Annual Horticultural Show but hurry! Entry form deadline is 10.00am on September 7th.
Obtain entry forms from the Post Office or Herts Garden Centre.

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 2.00pm - 3.30pm at the Health Centre

What do you do during Advent? Sit on the sofa open a little cardboard door and see a picture or eat a chocolate?
We are creating a living advent calendar. Every evening at 18.15pm for fifteen minutes from 1st December till 24th December a real, life-size door will open and the audience will have a wonderful surprise. It might be a choir, a dance group, poetry, music or something you can't imagine!
This an opportunity for everyone to get involved and the performance will be for children and adults.
Look out around the village for further information and in November every house will receive a full programme.
This innovative way of celebrating the season of Advent began in Stockholm and has been adopted by several towns in the UK. We could be leading the way in Hertfordshire!

My name is Gordon Dickens and with my son Graeme we have just taken over at the HOLLYBUSH in Church End.
We are re-opening this wonderful old and traditional Public House on Friday 19th August at 5pm.
We also are in the process of renovating the Victorian School Room in the grounds of the Hollybush to act as both a venue for private events, and also to return it to it's original use - for supporting the education of local youngsters via my company, Tutor Doctor:
